Hello everyone! After the challenging PG and MBA program at HTMi I managed to be part of the team running a palace in Switzerland, "Hotel des Trois Couronnes" in Vevey as an F& B Assistant Manager.
From there I was offered the Marketing and PR Manager position of a 5 * Hotel in Romania and the Deputy Manager position of a boutique Hotel in Bucharest. At the moment I am running my own business in Romania , a travel and medical tourism company with offices in two major cities in Romania.
I have also opened the first and only company in Romania that is dealing exlusively with medical tourism and luxury tourism. My work and study experience at HTMi made me the manager I am today, and gave me all the necessary tools to run my own business. I would like to send all my gratitude and appreciation to HTMi for everything I am now! Thank you HTMi!

| Ting, Taiwan - Management Trainee - Amari Hotels and Resorts Thailand |
|
I am writing to really say thank you for giving me this chance to be here in Amari Resorts and Hotels in Thailand as a Manager in Training. This week I was given an orientation of the whole system of the hotel. Honestly speaking, I can see Amari Resorts and Hotels have a strong ambition to have the best hotels in Thailand. They take care of the guests and have very good renovated facilities. Each day I see how this hotel operates and develops; especially with the whole management team's involvement to keep all staff motivated and going forward.
For me, my first phase was to learn Thai culture and its people. I had a lot of orientation classes and at the same time, I have been applying all of the skills and professional attitude I gained at HTMi. Now, I start to think as a manager and how i can be a good manager as well as applying my professional knowledge and skill i obtained from HTMi to help improve the whole team spirit here. Suddenly, I know I am not a student anymore but I AM A MANAGER. I will try my best and I will cherish this chance with all of its challenges.
Deeply in heart and mind, I am really thankful and grateful to HTMi for giving me the best chance of my life. I will do the best that I can do.

| Tinka Kukushlieva - Marriott - Paris - Sales and Marketing management |
|
After HTMi I joined Disneyland Paris in Sales and Marketing management and then moved onwards to Marriott.Just like a roller coaster in Disney, life has its ups and downs; it goes through dark tunnels and through marvelous landscapes, through dangerous loops and easy swings. My ride started in Bulgaria and on to America, passing by Switzerland, and currently spinning through France. HTMi, my Swiss experience, has been my stepping stone to the hospitality industry. I realize that the key aspects of professional behaviour, effective time management, and strict discipline are crucial qualities when joining an international multi- unit company. Marriott happened to recruit me at the Euro Disney in Paris. Since joining HTMi, I have strengthened my spirit and personality and I have been motivated more than ever to realize my career dreams. Marriott, one of the worlds largest hotel chains, provides numerous life-changing possibilities for ambitious and prosperous students. Keep it up HTMi comrades and go for your dreams, you deserve it!

| Alexandru Rogin - Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Management - 2009 |
|
If someone would ask me to describe HTMi regarding the possibilities and opportunities that such a place can offer I would say that it is the bridge that sustains the knowledge and power of a student and leads to its development into experience, creating the possible way for achieving the dream carrier. HTMi is the wall that sustains your future and is built from your personal ambition and capability to gain knowledge and experience.
I am Alexandru from Romania and I am studying now Diploma course in HTMi. Like most of the new students when I arrived in HTMi I felt a bit lost and I could not fully understand the importance of practice and experience in all those departments such as service, kitchen and all the projects that we were involved during the semester. Everything became clear since my first day of Internship. After my Certificate Class I worked in Hotel Schiller in Luzern. How did I do it? Everything that I learned in HTMi in only six months helped me not only pass the interview successfully but in the same time accomplishing my duties, achieve my objectives and continue to sustain the reputation of students from HTMi that worked in their Internship in the best Swiss hotels. Working in Schiller was not easy at all, you have bad moments and good moments, you cry and you laugh but everything that happened I know it was for my best interest. All the embarrassing moments of not being able to do something, making too many mistakes, not understanding what I was asked to do, are actually the first steps in the real life. The internship shows you what is out there, what is waiting for you, it opens your eyes to see the truth and most important it teaches you how to be consequent and responsible.
It is said that the world of a student in a university or college is totally different from the one that you live in when you finish and start working. Well, this is in one way true, just that HTMi is the world that makes everything seem easier and helps you to see the other side as a continuous road that leads to the achievement of your personal goals. Every student from HTMi is excited to go for internship because every working day you learn something new and you feel more prepared. The only problem that you will face is that anywhere you will go in your internship you will miss HTMi and all the moments spent there, having HTMi with you and in your heart all the time. It is like a family that thought you everything and then when you are prepared sends you out into the world.

| Anastasija Starovoitova, Latvia , Post Graduate Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Management, 2009 |
|
My name is Anastasija Starovoitova. I came from Latvija. And I`m HTMi student of the Postgraduate Diploma Course. I knew a lot about the school before coming here. I heard only good reviews and impressions. And now, I`ve got a great opportunity to experience all this by myself.
Now, I may say that everything I heard is true. The studying process is organised in a way that all you have obtained during the theoretical part you apply on practice just after. To my mind, this is the best way to learn all the disciplines that the students are teached. Thanks to great team of professional lecturers studying becomes not only a process, but an exciting event, where each lecture is even more interesting than the previous one.
As soon as I came in HTMi, me together with all other students were gifted a new iPod touch that helps us not only to communicate with each other, but also find and store a lot useful studying-related information.
The room I live in is new, big and bright. It is furnished in a modern way and fully equiped with all the facilities necessary for productive self-study.
So I would like to thank all the management team of the school , for giving us a great opportunity of being students of HTMi and for the outstanding job they are making day by day to make the managers out of the students.

| Varvara Malkina, Russia, H-Diploma in International Hotel & Tourism Management, 2009 |
|
My name is Varvara, and I am a student from Russia. I have been in HTMi for already 2 years, and I can say that our school is an excellent example of a real Swiss Hospitality Management school. It is situated in a safe and amazingly beautiful place and to me feels more like a big international family. All the students, lecturers, and staff are very friendly, caring, and, most importantly, professional. This all makes HTMi a perfect place to live and study.
I am lucky to be given a chance of doing my internship in one of the best hotels in Switzerland - The Dolder Grand. As soon as I started my work here, I fell in love with this hotel. Everything here is perfect: from beautifully designed rooms and amazing location to friendly staff and supportive management.
I am definitely learning a lot every single day of my internship: strengthening the knowledge about the beverages, service standards, conducting inventories and efficiently communicating with the guests. The biggest challenge for me was to always try to think ahead of our guests and guess their wishes. However, now with the support of my colleagues and extra training sessions I can proudly say I CAN DO IT ! Working in The Dolder Grand with one of the most professsional people in this industry will, without any doubt, help me in my future career and during my BSc course in HTMi that starts next January.
I welcome all of you to visit The Dolder Grand hotel to experience the holiday of your lifetime. And see you in HTMi soon...

| Jenaro Samos Rojas, Bolivia, BA in International Hotel and Tourism Management, 2009 |

I am so proud to study in HTMi School. I am doing the first course now that is certificate, and I want to express myself about this school. I arrived here at the end of January 2006 and a person encharged to pick up the students from the Zurich airport went to pick me up, then he took me to the school, since that time until now many events happened. The studies here are very hard in all the subjects that I have, but you can achieve a lot of knowledge in the hospitality industry. Also you are going to find friendly people in the HTMi School, teachers, students, etc. After the academic semester is finished, the school is going to find a place where you can do internship and improve your knowledge that you have learned before. Also in HTMi, students at certificate level have service and kitchen practical training to improve them to be better in the hospitality and tourism field. For all of those reasons is why that I want to say that I think HTMi School, is one of the best in Switzerland and around the world.

The first image when I arrived Switzerland, was beautiful white snow and then I saw how pretty this school is. HTMi is a high quality study environment reflecting the best qualities of safe, beautiful and rich culture of Swiss life. This is the most impressive attraction for loving HTMi.
After doing my diploma course, we learned about not only the theory of hospitality, but also service and kitchen practical experience.I learned a lot from it,including communication and professional attitude with people. I was surprised that when I went for my first try-out in the hotel for my internship, I was able to use everything the school has been teaching us, for example, setting the tables and the way of serving. The school has students from all over the world, it contains very rich cultural atmosphere. I learned a lot about other different cultures. I have very pleasant experiences to study and work with friends and the strong teamwork experience which is central to hospitality management.
